SAFARI ITINERARY
DAY 1: Amboseli National Park
Safari starts at 0700hrs
Meet and greet in Nairobi
This morning a member of Quest Holidays will meet you at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) or at your Nairobi hotel. After a short briefing on the events ahead, greet our expert safari guide.
Depart for Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, and large herds of elephants, which are often seen roaming the plains. Arrive for lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp. You will have some time to rest and relax before proceeding for an afternoon game drive until dusk. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: Amboseli National Park
Enjoy your day on early morning and afternoon game drives, crisscrossing the landscape in search of elephants, zebras, and wildebeests along the saltpan trails. Climb The Observation Hill, which allows an overall view of the whole park especially the swamps, which are a center of activity for elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and abundant water birds. The surrounding flat grasslands are home to grazing antelopes. Prepare for predator sightings, as opportunistic animals begin roaming the plains in search of prey. Spotted hyenas, as are jackals, warthogs, olive baboons, and vervet monkeys, are plentiful.

DAY 3: Lake Naivasha Boat Safari and Walking Safari at Crescent Island
Today we depart early for Lake Naivasha. You will arrive for lunch at your hotel.
Boat Safari in Lake Naivasha
In the afternoon ride a boat in Lake Naivasha. Spot Hippo and numerous Bird species. The lake itself is remarkably picturesque, set against a purple backdrop of the Eburru volcanic mountain range. Other wildlife on the shores include Giraffe, Zebra, Waterbuck and the odd eland and wildebeest.
Walking safari at Crescent Island Game Sanctuary
The picturesque sanctuary of Crescent Island is next, and we’ll be treated to a walking tour taking us by the island’s buffalo, antelope, giraffe, zebra, and dik-diks. The island sanctuary isn’t home to any predators.

DAY 4: Lake Nakuru National Park
Today we depart early for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lunch en route. Arrive and continue with game viewing drive before later being transferred to your safari lodge or tented camp.
Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the top tourist destinations in Africa, famed for the Flamingos, both lesser and greater, that flock to its shores. The lake is also a very important breeding ground and stop over for many species of birds, and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Established as Kenya’s first rhino sanctuary, Lake Nakuru National Park now hosts one of the largest black rhino concentrations in the country while substantial numbers of white rhino have also been introduced. Other indigenous mammals seen in the park include spotted hyena, lion (restocked), leopard, the hippopotamus (in the north-eastern corner), rock hyrax, bat-eared fox, wildcat, golden cat, Bohor reedbuck, Defassa waterbuck (in high grasses bordering the shore) and Colobus monkey, Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhinoceros

DAY 5: Masai Mara National Reserve
Your drive now takes you to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve. Arrive and embark on a game viewing drive as you are transferred to your lodge or tented camp for lunch. You will have some time to relax before heading out for a game viewing drive until sunset.
Masai Mara, also known as the “Jewel of Africa,” is inhabited by many of Africa’s most popular wild animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, cape buffalo, and rhinoceros, as well as giraffes, hippos, hyenas, Nile crocodiles, wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, antelopes, and more.

DAY 6: Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the day exploring Masai Mara. During the game drive, our knowledgeable safari guide will introduce you to life in the savanna and share their infinite knowledge about African wildlife. The wildlife viewing is superb throughout the year. Observe massive crocodiles basking in the sun, see the graceful hippos wallowing in muddy water and catch the antics of mischievous monkeys overhead. Watch, too, as the African savannah elephants roaming along the forest edge and spot cheetahs in the open savannah eyeing off their next meal. The yearly wildebeest migration (July to September) coming through the park is one of the world’s most amazing wildlife spectacles.
DAY 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi – Departure
After breakfast, check out from your safari lodge and bid farewell to Masai Mara. Drive back to Nairobi. If time permits, visit a souvenir shop to view and buy different art designs by Kenya’s finest designers. Our safari guide will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight back home.

Optional flight to Nairobi
To save on time spent on the road, take a flight back to Nairobi. After breakfast, your safari guide will drive you to the nearest Masai Mara airstrip. Board the domestic flight (Safarilink or Air Kenya) departing at 11:00 am to Nairobi with stops at several airstrips. On arrival at Wilson Airport at 12:20 pm, a member of Quest Holidays will meet you and assist with the transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
